SOLD OUT! Thank you, everyone, we were able to write a check to The Root Social Justice Center due to your generosity. More baking for benefits will happen in the future, so stay tuned!
In the meantime, get the recipe here and make these cookies at home!
We’re chocolatiers, and we are bakers too, making shortbread and other delights for our recipes and our blog. We’ve joined the national movement Bakers Against Racism to raise money for The Root Social Justice Center, a Vermont-based, POC-led nonprofit organization focused on racial justice organizing, community advocacy, and relationship-building programming (learn more by following the links above). All proceeds from cookie sales will go to The Root Social Justice Center, and a portion of any chocolates you buy now through the weekend will be tacked on to the donation too.
So, what kind of cookies are we talking about here?? And how many? In keeping with our approach to creating tasty and adventurous recipes, we are making salted chocolate chunk porcini rosemary shortbread cookies : savory, slightly sweet and salty with the earthy, nutty flavor of Northwest-harvested porcini mushrooms, herbal homegrown rosemary and bittersweet chocolate chunks, 4 decent-sized cookies per order (I’m using a standard pint glass as a cookie cutter, so about that big). So freaking good. See ingredients tab for allergen info.
