DESCRIPTION:John Levin performs live electronic music on his fifty year old Arp Odyssey. Back in the 1980s John studied at Mills College’s notorious electronic music program in Oakland California. More recently he and his Arp have appeared on Michael Robert’s 2023 LP Sympathizer. Old time Brattleboro people will recall fondly his Tuesday night residency at the Weathervane with Charlie Schneeweis as the power duo Tweak. Between 2009 and 2014he performed several times in Europe\, most notably with Ron Schneiderman in Copenhagen. \nThe event is free\, donations for the artist are encouraged.

DESCRIPTION:We are honored to host musician Dave Seidel for an afternoon of deep listening.\n\nDave will play a new piece in memory of the revered composer Éliane Radigue. Dave will perform a new piece called “Six Bardos for Éliane Radigue” exploring his interpretation of some of the techniques used by Radigue in her work\, based on carefully controlled feedback and slow changes in a meditative setting.\n\nDave Seidel composes and performs electroacoustic music with an emphasis on long tones and microtonal sonorities.\nAlong with many Bandcamp releases (mysterybear.bandcamp.com)\, he has two CD releases: “~60 Hz” on Irritable Hedgehog (2014) and “Involution” on XI Records (2021). In a previous life as a guitarist\, he is best known for the premiere recording of Lois V Vierk’s “五 Guitars” (“Go Guitars”) on Vierk’s CD “Simoom” (XI Records\, 1991). He lives in Peterborough\, New Hampshire.\n\nThe event is free\, we encourage a donation for the artist.

DESCRIPTION:9th annual Bratt Luck Crawl (formerly Bratt Luv Crawl) / March 12 / 6-8pm\nWe will be hosting SILO Distillery\, and will have our singular Chocolate Pâté\, a special St. Patrick’s Day smoked maple milk chocolate Peat Mousse\, and bonbons in the case to purchase! DJ Prismatic aka WVEW’s Starfish and Coffee will be setting the atmosphere\, spinning vinyl in our Chocolate Kissa to hang and vibe to. \nThis is a SHOP CRAWL– each participating shop in downtown Brattleboro is hosting a tastemaker who will have a TASTE for you to sample. Distilleries\, breweries\, wineries\, chocolatiers\, confectioners\, cheesemakers\, so many tastes! AND there’s a non-alcoholic option at every stop.
